is it true?
a new book for aspiring designers which starts its how to/manifesto with the title chapter: don't be a wanker! "making the transition from design student to successful creative often involves a lot of reassessment, adaptation and resignation--just when you thought you'd cracked it and got that qualification, you realize that your actual education starts here." sounds like a good book! there is an interview with Karim included, and based on the books theme, I hope it's satirical! find it on amazon in march. "over a year and a half period, he collected a stockpile of discarded, dumped, and donated chairs from the streets of london. from this collection he has recycled, re-invented and reconstructed new chairs which are a mix of all the parts." he has chosen 29 of these creations to be on view at the design museum london.
